While not the same level of dreck as Gotham's East End apartments, Suicide Slums is nonetheless not known for being a fun-filled neighborhood. The neighbors are less likely to borrow a cup of sugar as they are to steal your entire pantry, and you would have a hard time finding an apartment whose windows aren't covered in steel bars.

Run by one Bibbo Bibbowsky, a former boxers and more recent lottery winner, the bar serves a dual purpose, in addition to simply serving drinks. The well-off Bibbo will often use his money to try and help the more unfortunate in the Slums; whether it's a place to crash during the night, or some stew on the house, the owner does have a kind heart. That being said, he also has a fierce temper, and although the bar is often populated with ne'er do wells, many of them are careful to mind their manners, lest they get a shattering right hook in the jaw.

No New Posts Slums Waterfront

Unlike New Troy's ever-bustling, well-policed, and sleekly modern docks, the Slums' own trading port is a dark, rusting mess, populated by only a handful of cargo ships at any one time. Dozens of warehouses litter the shoreline, most of which have long since been abandoned as storage room... nowadays, these structures will house the Slums' ever-active gangs.

Suicide Slums
By far the worst district in Metropolis, the southern district is only a few miles from the bustling, productive gem that is New Troy, and yet the difference could not be more pronounced. The police spent little, if any, time trying to maintain order within the region, and as such a number of extremely powerful gangs have risen up to seize control... with its own waterfront, Southside does act as a trading port- mostly for companies who can't afford the higher fees of New Troy's facilities, or are transporting illegal goods- and shipment thefts happen on a regular basis... though not so often that the authorities would feel the need to intervene.
