With an unusual lack of segregation between the social classes, the homes in Englewood seem to meld seamlessly from bottom-bin, rat-infested hovels, to moderately priced, respectable apartments, to charming little suburban neighborhoods, and finally tastefully elegant upper-class houses and condominiums. Although, naturally, the upper-class communities insist on at least a little segregation, their neighborhoods often fenced off from the rest of the district.
